NPC Handler Sign Up
Dec. 31st, 2020 04:29 amOften the Voidtrecker Express goes to populated worlds! Some NPCs can be handwaved or written by everybody to help pad out the world. Other times characters may wish to speak to specific NPC's to learn more information about the world.
In order to make sure as many people as want to can interact with NPC's we are opening NPC handler roles. These are players who will control 'official' NPC's on a world. Depending on the world there will either be a list of NPC's you can play or a more detailed brief of how people generally see the world, act and behave so that you can make up your own NPC! For each mission there will also be a grab bag of information with extra details that NPC's can drop into their threads to help (or hinder) characters on their way!
As NPC requests come in NPC controllers can decide to take them- therefore you can decide how many threads you feel up to taking on a mission by mission basis.
Criteria
To be a NPC controller you must:
~ Have been in the game at least two months and passed AC successfully in that time.
~ Actively played at least one mission so that you know how they generally go.
~ Feel like you are able to take on an extra thread or two during a mission.
~ Though there is no expectation of super fast or boomerang tagging we would expect you to keep up with the NPC tags, tagging them in timely manner and have a commitment to keep the thread going. We would not expect a NPC thread to be dropped by the NPC controller - if you find yourself struggling to move a thread forwards the mods will always be happy to step in and help!
Rewards
We aren't going to make you work for nothing! NPC threads will be subject to the same mission reward system as other mission threads, NPC threads that reach 10 comments will be eligible for 10 mission bonus points which you can put on your characters.
